"I've know for a while that this was going to come down," Joseph, who is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, said. "I just got that family feeling up there."
He should. His older brother, Vance, played at Colorado and is currently on the Buffs coaching staff.
"I just liked the people up there better than anywhere else," Joseph said. "It just fit me better than anywhere else."
And Joseph did have plenty of options. He had scholarship offers from Nebraska, LSU, USC, Kansas State, Florida, Tennessee and Michigan.
So will Joseph, who just received a qualifying test score of 19, now get his highly touted teammates to come with him to Boulder?
"That's their decision," Joseph said.
"This was mine. It was the best place for me, and I hope that it's the best place for them. But if it isn't, then I'm cool with it."
