Shaugnessy ready to choose

Norwich (Conn.) Norwich Free Academy defensive end Matt Shaughnessy was supposed to take his last official visit this weekend to Michigan State. However, plans changed and he could be ready to decide.
"I didn't go to MSU and I won't be re-scheduling it," said the 6-foot-6, 210-pounder. "It's pretty much down to four schools with three in the lead."

Shaughnessy has visited Purdue, Boston College, Wisconsin and UConn. So who leads?
"I don't have one leader," he said. "It was Wisconsin last week, but I've been re-thinking things a bit. I guess you could say the visit wore off a bit. I like both Boston College and UConn the same as Wisconsin now."
Shaughnessy is being recruited as a defensive end by both Wisconsin and Boston College and as a hybrid defensive end/linebacker by UConn.
"I guess I prefer defensive end," he said. "I have coach Tiller coming to my house tonight from Purdue, tomorrow I have coach Edsall and Tuesday coaches from Wisconsin come in. Wednesday is Boston College and then I'll decide I guess."
