Shaughnessy returns from Purdue

Defensive end Matt Shaughnessy was at Purdue on an official visit over the weekend and had a chance to experience life on campus. How do the Boilermakers rate compared to other schools after the trip?
"Overall the experience was really good. There was a lot of good food and a lot of good people," he laughed. "The people were very nice. My host was Kory Sheets and I enjoyed spending time with him. I had a chance to talk to Coach Tiller for a while too, and he's a good man."

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound lineman from Norwich (Conn.) Norwich Free Academy is high on Purdue after the visit, but there are other schools he's interested in.
"I like Boston College, Wisconsin and Michigan State along with Purdue," said Shaughnessy. "I'm going to Boston College next week, right after Thanksgiving. The week after that I'll be on an official to Wisconsin, and then Michigan State on Dec. 10 I believe."
Norwich Free Academy didn't qualify for the playoffs, but they do have one regular season game remaining against New London.
