Shaughnessy rates Purdue visit high

"I just got back from Purdue," Norwich (Ct.) Free Academy defensive end Matt Shaughnessy said. "That was my first official visit.
"It was fun. I had a good time. The players were nice and so was the campus. The academics are real good. And I saw a good game.

"I have Boston College next weekend. Then Wisconsin Dec. 3 and Michigan State Dec. 10. All of them have offered me.
"I'll take all four visits before I decide. It's down to those four.
"They're all about even, but I guess I'd say Purdue is my favorite because that's the only one I've visited."
The 6-foot-6, 210 pound Shaughnessy is the No. 28 weakside defensive end prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings.
