Quarterback Evan Sharpley will be one of the top signal callers in the Midwest next season, and the Buckeyes are showing interest.
The 6-foot-2 and 200 pound Sharpley has been a varisty starter for Marshall, Mich. since his sophomore year.
Sharpley completed 145 of 285 passes for 1942 yards and 19 touchdowns during his junior season. For his career he has thrown for 3802 yards and 45 touchdowns going into his senior season.
Sharpley, who runs the 40 yard dash in 4.7 seconds, also plays baseball and basketball and has a 3.97 GPA.
"I'd like to try both football and baseball in the opportunity presents itself," Sharpley said.
"I've been offered by Iowa so I'm interested in them. And I'm interested in Notre Dame and Michigan. And I get letters from most of the other Big Ten schools."
"I've visited Purdue and I've been to Michigan State. I get mail from Ohio State, Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and the MAC schools."
