Shanks taking things slow
Culpeper (Va.) Eastern View athlete Drayton Shanks is still sitting on one scholarship. Is the 6-foot-4, 185-pounder any closer to visiting the Orange?
"I haven't been to Syracuse yet," he said. "I like Syracuse, I've seen that they have been bringing in a lot of players.

"They are keeping it easy on me. I told them I'm not trying to choose until after the season and they said there is no rush."
Shanks confirmed Syracuse still stands out.
"They're still my favorite."
A few other schools including Ohio continues to keep tabs on the Virginia prospect.
Meanwhile, the two-star prospect has returned to the field in a big way.
"We had a game the other night and I had three touchdowns," he said. "I only had 74-yards receiving, but two of my touchdowns were on kickoff returns.
"I've gotten a lot better this year and our team is looking good. I'm not playing defense either, so that should help my numbers."
