Shanks sees recruitment slow down

Culpeper (Va.) Eastern View athlete Drayton Shanks has seen his recruitment slow down in recent weeks. What's the latest with the 6-foot-4, 185-pounder?
"I'm going to an Old Dominion game next weekend for an unofficial visit," he said. "I haven't been anywhere else yet and I don't have any other visits coming up."

Shanks holds one scholarship from Syracuse at this time.
"I still hear from Syracuse and everything is going good with them. I think I'm going to take an official visit there after football," he stated. "I like Syracuse, they throw the ball a lot and give their wide receivers a chance to make a play."
Meanwhile, are other schools picking up interest?
"Things are moving slow for me right now," he said. "My coach said after our fifth game he was going to make my senior film and send it out, so that should help. He thinks things should change within the next few weeks."
Shanks has impressed as he has helped Eastern View to a 2-1 start.
"I've been doing well. I have about 240-yards and five touchdowns, one of those is rushing."
