Shanks is taking it slow

Culpeper (Va.) Eastern View wide receiver Drayton Shanks is sitting on one scholarship. The 6-foot-4, 185-pounder has had a relatively slow summer and is looking at hitting up a few more schools before camp starts backup.
"I went to James Madison's camp not too long ago," he said. "I've also talked to Ohio recently about a visit up there.

"I haven't been anywhere else in the last month, but I plan to hit up a few schools before football starts. I'm looking at going to Old Dominion, Delaware and Virginia. I'm not sure on the dates yet for those trips."
Shanks claims few other schools are showing interest at this time.
Meanwhile, the two-star prospect is holding one offer from Syracuse and gave his take.
"I see they are getting a lot of players and I like what I know about them," he said. "They told me they were sending me info in the mail so that I can take a visit."
Shanks maintains no favorites at the moment.
"I don't think I like one more than the other, I'm just waiting to go on a couple visits first."
