Dual threat quarterback Cameron Sexton has an impressive offer list and it just keeps getting longer. Is the North Carolina passer leaning in any direction?
"I like a few schools a lot right now," said Sexton. "NC State, Texas, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Miami are up there, and there are some others. Not all of those have offered, but I feel like there's a good chance all of them will."
Currently Sexton has scholarship offers Virginia Tech, Florida State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, East Carolina and Duke. At 6-foot-3 and 185-pounds, Sexton is one of the fastest quarterbacks in the nation. He consistently runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and has been timed even lower.
"I'm just going to work on becoming a much more polished quarterback my senior year," he said. "Right now I feel like I have the speed and the arm to be really good, but I want to go to the college level ready to contribute somewhere. I want to put myself in a situation where I can compete for playing time. It might not happen right away, but it would be a bonus."
As a junior for Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County Sexton passed for 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns. He'll go into his senior season tabbed as one of the top prospects in North Carolina.
