Sexton has Virginia Tech offer

Quarterback Cameron Sexton has attracted the attention of the schools on Tobacco Road, but his first scholarship offer comes from out of state.

"I've got a written offer from Virginia Tech, so they're one of my two favorites now," said Sexton. "The other school at the top of my list is NC State. It's close to home, I like the college atmosphere and the football program has improved so much."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback from Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland runs the 40-yard dash in an amazing 4.41 seconds. He's a threat to throw or run once he receives the snap. Who else is he interested in?
"After Virginia Tech and NC State I really like Maryland, North Carolina and Clemson. I'm hearing from schools like Wake Forest, Virginia, Syracuse, Duke and some others, but I'm not as interested in those at the moment."
Sexton plans on attending the Elite 11 Regional a day before the Nike Camp in Atlanta on May 8th, and will attend camps and take unofficial visits at all of his favorites down the road.
As a junior Sexton was an all-conference selection, passing for 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns and also rushing for five scores.
