Sexton enjoys FSU

Quarterback prospect Cameron Sexton returned from his second official visit. Despite the volatile weather in Florida, Sexton visited Florida State University and was able to view the Seminoles defeat the Clemson Tigers 41-22. How was the trip for the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder?
“It was a very good visit, I had a great time,” said the dual-threat quarterback fromLaurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County. “I loved the game atmosphere, the coaches and I got a lot of my questions answered. I was hosted by Geoff Berniard and Drew Weatherford.”

Despite the high rating for his visit, sexton still said he plans on making some more visits including an unofficial trip to North Carolina to see the Tar Heels play NC State. He has already visited Clemson, but has he named Florida State a leader after his perfect score?
“No, Florida State was great and I liked the visit a little bit better than Clemson but I don't have a leader.”
Sexton has great speed for a quarterback, running a 4.47-second 40-yard dash at the Nike Camp in Atlanta. However, he can chuck the ball as well with 11 touchdown passes and over 800 yards passing in just four games so far this season.
In addition to FSU and Clemson, Sexton is also considering Virginia Tech, North Carolina and NC State. He does not have dates for his next official visits, but will probably just need one more official.
"I plan on visiting Virginia Tech, I just have to set up the date," he said. "I don't think I need to visit UNC or NC State because I've been there so many times. I hope to make my decision in November.
