Severin set to announce choice

Canaan Severin is one of the top remaining recruiting targets from the Northeast and the Massachusetts standout will be announcing his college choice on Monday.
Severin, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound wide receiver, is a member of the Rivals250 and has entertained interest from a wide variety of schools over the course of the process.

Iowa and UConn were two schools Severin was considering but the Hawkeyes and Huskies are no longer in the mix.
On Monday at 12:30 p.m., Severin will choose announce that he is to attend either Penn State, Virginia or Boston College. He's very familiar with all three schools, having visited each on multiple occasions.
Most recently Severin took an official visit to BC and an unofficial visit to Penn State. The Eagles lost to Northwestern while the four-star recruit was in town, while Penn State fell to Alabama.
"It's been a real tough choice," Severin said late this week.
He indicated that he has told family what his choice is.
Each of the three schools Severin narrowed things down to has something going for it. Boston College is the home state school. Penn State is where a couple of Severin's friends, Camren Williams and Armani Reeves, will land next year. Virginia has recruited him hard throughout the process and sold him on being a go-to big receiver in their offense.
