Several watching Oklahoma QB

Tulsa (Okla.) Metro Christian quarterback J.D. McFarlin is getting attention from several schools. The dual-threat signal caller has yet to receive a scholarship offer, but is hopeful his efforts this summer at camps will change that.
"Everything is going well for me right now," the 6-foot-3, 185-pound McFarlin said. "Nobody has offered me a scholarship at this point."

The list of schools showing interest includes Iowa State, Northwestern, TCU, Central Florida and Kansas. Many of the schools offer the qualities McFarlin is looking for in a school.
"I want to find a combination between good academics and good football," he said. "The location of where the school is doesn't really matter to me. I just want to find the right place."
McFarlin plans on having a busy summer on the camp circuit.
"I am going to the Elite 11 camp at TCU on April 22," he said. "I'm going to the NIKE camp in Oxford, Miss., on May 15. I also will go to the mini-camps at Oklahoma State, Tulsa and Texas A&M. I'm in the process of scheduling all of these."
