Several stand out for Berry

Lorain, Ohio defensive end Rashod Berry's recruitment has been quiet for several months with no college visits, but the three-star has identified several schools he favors.
"I have a couple top schools like Michigan State, Oregon, Florida State and I'm really interested in Iowa too," Berry said. "Only Iowa has offered right now, but Michigan State has been talking to me constantly as have Ohio State and Florida State here and there."

Of the schools that have not offered yet, Berry feels Michigan State is showing the most interest. The Spartans are recruiting the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Berry as a tight end.
"They said they just want me to get in the weight room, get stronger, faster and see my first two games," Berry said.
Iowa, meanwhile, has offered Berry and is recruiting him at outside linebacker. Fellow Big Ten program Illinois also remains in the picture.
"I haven't visited Iowa yet because I've just been busy," Berry said. "We talk here and there and have good conversations.
"It's the same with Illinois when they call me. We just talk about what I've been doing and what the school is like."
Berry did not attend any college camps this summer, but could work out at one or two this month and identified Ohio State's Friday Night Lights Camp as a possible venue.
With few campus visits under his belt, Berry expects to take his recruitment into his senior season so he can use his official visits.
