The first stop on the tour was South Carolina.
"It was great," Hines said. "Coach Botkin, they were actually closed that day and they opened it up for me so I could see all the facilities and stuff. It was great. I felt welcomed and I really liked South Carolina. It was a great trip."
From Columbia, Hines headed north for stops at N.C. State, North Carolina, and Wake Forest.
"North Carolina State, the facilities were fairly new and it was great the setup they had right inside their stadium. It was really cool. It was a really neat setup," Hines said. "Then with North Carolina, coach Disch, he told me what he was going to do. He said he just needed to see me at the campus and he would offer me and that's really something I look for in coaches, they fulfill their word. With Wake Forest the academics there were great. It's a smaller school, but that's the ACC and you get grade A competition and grade A academics all in one."
Next up was a stop in Knoxville to check out the University of Tennessee.
"That visit was great as well," Hines said. "I didn't get too much into the academics but they do have a very nice business school - the Haslam Building. Also their facilities were great. They're still adding some new things on. They're about to add some new practice fields in there, so that was very impressive."
Then it was on to Ohio and a stop through Ohio State.
"It was great," Hines said. "Coach Coombs was really open and he was telling me what he's about and what Ohio State's about and I'm really interested in them. They have great facilities as well. They're adding in a new locker room and it's going to have a waterfall and everything. It's going to be really cool."
The last stop was also in Big 10 country.
"Then I went up to Michigan and that stadium is huge," Hines said. "It's the biggest stadium. It was very impressive."
Hines is committed to Mississippi State and after all of his visits, he reaffirmed his commitment to the Bulldogs. However, since he was able to check out a few new programs have caught his attention a little bit.
"Definitely South Carolina. I'm very interested in them," Hines said. "Tennessee, Oklahoma, A&M, and Michigan. I'm very interested in them."
