Serra OL is one to watch

Devin Stearns isn’t the only player from Gardena (Calif.) Serra who has the attention of D-I recruiters. Offensive lineman Alex Blagojevich is also getting plenty of recruiting action.
Blagojevich stands 6-foot-4, weighs 295 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.35 seconds. He benches 300 pounds and he benched 185 pounds, 16 times at the Nike camp held at USC.

Selected all-league and all-CIF as an offensive guard, the versatile Blagojevich will switch to offensive tackle for his senior season, which will be his third year as a starter.
Blagojevich is very mobile and quick for his size. He is an excellent pull blocker and dominating as a drive blocker. Another area Blagojevich excels at is zone blocking.
One of the reasons that Serra is moving Blagojevich to tackle is to take advantage of his quickness as a pass blocker. As a blocking technician, he’s superb.
Blagojevich was invited to junior day at both USC and UCLA. He was unable to attend the day at UCLA, but Blagojevich did show up to the junior day at USC. He gets several letters almost every day and Oregon, ASU, Cal, Arizona and Washington have already or are scheduled to come by the school this month.
Pac10Recruiting will keep you informed on Stearns, Blagojevich and the other Serra prospects in the very near future.
Stay tuned…
