Serra HS is loaded with talent
Yesterday we talked about Gardena (Calif.) Serra standout DaJohn Harris and the new offers he was holding. Along with Harris, two other Cavalier players, athlete Anthony Boyles and defensive lineman Apiata Tuihalamaka, have landed scholarship offers.

Boyles, 6-3, 180 pounds is a great looking athlete who projects as a wide receiver in college but is also getting some mention as a defensive back.
"Washington just offered Anthony this week," Serra coach Scott Altenberg said. "I also got calls from Nebraska, Oregon and Arizona State who said they all will be offering Anthony very shortly as well. UCLA is also very interested and paid a lot of attention to him when we went down there to watch practice last Thursday. He was sick and missed UCLA's Junior Day but he loves it there and would probably commit on the spot if they offered."
Altenberg gushed about Boyles when talking about what kind of player he is.
"He's a blue chip athlete all the way," Altenberg said. "He just has amazing body control and balance. He's 6-3 but runs his routes like a 5-10 player. Some players his size are long striders but Anthony has great quickness and is very explosive coming in and out of his breaks. He really is just a freakish athlete."
As a junior, Boyles caught 23 balls for 467 yards and scored five touchdowns. He'll be attending USC's Junior Day April 2 as well as the SoCal Nike camp April 15.
Tuihalamaka, 6-4, 220 pounds has received early offers from Washington, UNLV and Oregon and is hearing from the same schools as Boyles and Harris.
"The same schools will end up offering all three kids," Altenberg said. "When I talked to Nebraska, Oregon and Arizona State, they told me they're going to offer all three players and Oregon has already offered Apiata and DaJohn. Nebraska will likely be offering all three this week.
"Apiata is just an incredible athlete that you have to see to believe. USC is really high on him and he was at UCLA's Junior Day and they like him too. He's going to USC's Junior Day with Anthony and DaJohn and I'm interested to hear back from Ken Norton on how they liked his film.
"Honestly, Apiata has the athletic ability of a free safety in a defensive ends frame. He's so quick and explosive. He's a lean 220 pounds and he can't put weight on right now because he never slows down. After football, he runs track, competes on the volleyball and plays on a Tongan Rugby team on the side. He also played some running back for us and you should see him the run the ball. His feet are so quick it's like watching a scat back out there."
As a junior, Tuihalamaka totaled 58 tackles and seven sacks on defense while rushing for 508 yards and three touchdowns on offense.
