Sergi is a Hoosier
Indianapolis (Ind.) Roncalli standout Tim Sergi missed much of his senior season due to injury, but the Indiana Hoosiers saw enough this year and his junior season to offer a scholarship.
"He committed to Indiana," Tim's mother Trish Sergi said. "We visited there last weekend.

"He was playing running back this season, but the Indiana coaches talked to him about the possibility of playing defense and offense. They mostly recruited him for defense. Outside linebacker has been mentioned."
Sergi rushed for 2507 yards and scored 27 times during his junior season. He tore his ACL during the fourth game of his senior season and had reconstructive surgery. Sergi has been given the green light to return to athletics and may play in Roncalli's basketball game next week.
The 6-foot-3, 200 pound Sergi, who has a 3.9 GPA and scored an 1120 on the SAT, made only one official visit, his trip to Indiana.
