Seminoles offer four-star LB

Linebacker Yannick Ngakoue of Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy continues to be one of the hottest prospects around. After a very successful showing at the MDHigh Showcase last weekend, Ngakoue followed that up by being named a four-star recruit yesterday and also picking up his latest offer from Florida State.
"My coach, Coach Raheem, told me about the offer," said Ngakoue. "He talked to Coach Haggins from Florida State, and he told me to tell my mom that I have a full scholarship to come to Florida State."

Ngakoue, who already held offers from Tennessee, Connecticut, Rutgers, Maryland and West Virginia, gave his initial reaction to his latest offer.
"My reaction was that I knew I was truly blessed to have this opportunity," said Ngakoue, who is 6-foot-2 and 226-pounds. "I also knew that all of my hard work is finally paying off. It's God's work."
While Ngakoue has yet to visit Florida State, and just received his offer yesterday, he does have a few thoughts on the program.
"I'm really interested in it," said Ngakoue. "I heard a lot of good things about the school from my friend, Eddie Goldman, and I'm eager to take a visit down there."
Ngakoue also may have an idea on who his next offer will come from.
"I'm getting real close with Michigan," said Ngakoue. "They should be next to offer."
Before receiving his latest offer yesterday, Ngakoue proved his potential to everyone at the MDHigh Showcase last Saturday.
"I felt that I came out and proved that I'm not only a hard hitting linebacker, but that I can also cover as a defensive back," said Ngakoue. "I felt that there was great competition and I met a lot of cool prospects in my grade."
As interest continues to grow for Ngakoue, so do the visits on his calendar.
"Well I might go to UConn in a couple of weeks and I am also definitely attending the West Virginia spring game in April," said Ngakoue.
