Seminoles offer Eberle after camp showing

Not long after Alec Eberle turned in a surprising performance at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour in Richmond he noticed an uptick in recruiting activity.
Specifically, an offer from a big-time program.

"Florida State offered me [Tuesday] night. They heard I did pretty well [at the camp]. Maryland heard I did pretty well and Wake Forest heard I did well too. But Florida State just offered me," Eberle said.
The camp performance was good enough for Eberle to rank among the top linemen, as well as one of the top overall offensive performers in Richmond. And it will surely open many new doors for the 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive guard from Mechanicsville (Va.) Atlee.
"I feel like I did pretty well," he said. "My goal was to go in and try to defeat some of the top defensive linemen in the country. I feel as if I made a name for myself out there, going against Da'Shawn [Hand] and standing him up, giving him a run."
Later this month the three-star lineman plans to visit Michigan State but that is the only college visit he has planned.
While he is open to everyone, one school stands out for Eberle.
"Florida State definitely stands out to me," he said, before adding others. "Maryland stands out. UNC stands out. ODU, too. Those schools showing me a lot of interest are standing out."
