Seminoles hold slight lead for Wright

DALLAS - After missing a bit of the offseason and 7-on-7 circuit with an injury to his hand, four-star athlete Daniel Wright is back to full strength. The class-of-2017 prospect participated in the Prime21 Camp in Dallas over the weekend and discussed his recruitment just before stepping on the field.
On that front, Wright got to the point. Is there a leader to land his commitment as things stand now? You bet there is. The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons star sees no point in hiding that.

"You can say Florida State is the top of the list right now," Wright said on Saturday. "That could change, but you could say that right now."
Despite having no problems declaring an early leader in his recruitment, Wright has every intention to look around. He does not plan to make a quick commitment to the Seminoles. Instead, he'll give every involved program a chance to play catch-up.
"Actually, I'm going to Alabama and LSU for visits soon," Wright said. "Then, I'm going to go back to Florida State, of course."
According to Wright, LSU and Alabama trail Florida State by a small margin, but other schools are also heavily involved in the race to land his commitment. Things as they relate to Wright's recruitment are very much fluid.
"I have Auburn coming at me, too," Wright said. "I have Tennessee, Clemson and Florida hitting me up hard. I'm just weighing my options.
Wright, who plays cornerback, receiver and safety at the high school level, would prefer to play corner in college but would also be open to a career at safety. In the end, which position he'll be permitted to play doesn't much matter to him. Other factors will play a bigger role in his eventual decision.
"It's where can I go and get my academics right," Wright said. "After that, it's about athletics."
