Sekona happy with Big 12 choice

Vaimoe Sekona had a bunch of options in his recruitment but after he took a visit to Oklahoma State he found his next home.
The Encino (Calif.) Crespi two-way lineman admitted last week at the B2G West Coast Bowl that Stillwater is a lot different than his current surroundings but he's excited about his opportunities at Oklahoma State and cannot wait to get to campus.

"I decided to make the decision," Sekona said. "I went out there and took a visit and really liked it so I decided to commit.
"It's nice. I liked it out there."
The pitch from the Oklahoma State coaching staff - that Sekona could come in early and compete for playing time along the offensive line - was a big selling point to the 6-foot-4, 289-pound prospect who has shined at offensive guard and defensive tackle during his high school career.
Sekona said his relationship with the Oklahoma State coaching staff especially Mike Gundy and offensive line coach Bob Connelly made his decision that much easier.
"They told me I could come in and fight for a starting spot," Sekona said.
"I fit in well there. The coaches are great. I really like coach Gundy and the o-line coach, coach Connelly, is really good to me."
Hawaii, Miami, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas Tech, UCLA, USC and Washington State are also listed on Sekona's offer sheet. He committed to Oklahoma State in late October and has not wavered on his decision.
