The news is out, the gig is up, the smoke has cleared -- pick your phrase but the worst-kept secret in football recruiting is now out.
"I want to wait until after this weekend before I announce that I committed to Miami," Miami (Fla.) Edison linebacker Nate Harris told us earlier this week. "I've known I was going to Miami for a long time now and I'll announce sometime next week."
However, news of Harris' commitment is now public domain on the internet so there's no reason for the 6-foot-2, 212-pounder to keep quiet anymore.
"Miami is obviously a great program," the soft-spoken linebacker also told us earlier this week. "I took some other trips to make sure, but there was never any doubt."
Harris originally made his intentions known to Miami as far back as the May evaluation period. He is the only linebacker that the 'Canes will bring in this season.
