Second offer for top Colorado RB

Denver (Colo.) Mullen running back Maurice Greer has added his second scholarship offer to his list.
“Colorado has already offered Maurice a scholarship,” Logan said. “And, I got a message today from Kansas State that I would be finding out from Maurice that they had offered him a scholarship. I don’t think it is official yet, but it will be in the next day.”

Logan also felt there would be more offers coming soon for the 5-foot-11, 185-pound running back.
“I would imagine we will start to hear more from schools as they start to really get into the evaluation period over the next couple of months,” the coach said. “He is going to get more offers, there is no doubt about that. We’ve sent out quite a bit of film on him to schools. Once they get a look at him, the offers will start to come in.”
Greer could be the top rated player in Colorado for the class of 2005 after rushing for 2,186 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior.
“Maurice is a very durable running back,” Logan said. “He is very strong and he’s a tough kid. He’s a very hardnosed player who gives you everything he has. He also has excellent speed and I’m not sure everyone knows that.”
Other schools recruiting Greer but yet to offer scholarships include Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon, Southern California and UCLA.
