Second offer comes for Texas QB

Southlake (Texas) Carroll quarterback Chase Daniel has received his second scholarship offer.
“Duke offered me last week,” the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Daniel said. “They and Missouri are the only offers I have so far.”
The ACC school is an intriguing option for Daniel to consider.
“They are an amazing school,” he said. “Education-wise it would be a great place to go to school. And the football program is getting better and coming up. It is definitely something keep in mind.”
Daniel continues to receive mail from Kansas State, Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma State in addition to the two offering schools.
“I get a lot of stuff all the time,” the dual-threat star said. “I’m pretty high on Kansas State, Notre Dame and Texas. Texas is my favorite. That’s been my childhood dream school. My sister goes there. It is close to home. It’s just always been a school I have kept an eye on.”
The camp circuit this spring and summer will keep the Daniel family on the go. He will go to camps at Texas, K-State, Notre Dame, Missouri and Oklahoma State. He also will be in attendance at the NIKE camp in College Station on May 1.
“I’ll be there for the NIKE camp,” he said. “The day before that I will be at the Elite 11 regional workout. It is kind of like a tryout to see if you are selected to advance to the final 11. I think they have six regional workouts.”
Daniel doesn’t plan on making a quick decision at this time.
“I don’t have enough offers to really make an early decision. If I got up to like 10 offers or so, I might be able to make an early choice, but I’m not in any rush.”
