SEC Thursday for Cuffee

It was an SEC kind of day for Waco (Texas) three-star cornerback Eric Cuffee with two SEC offers arriving Thursday afternoon.
First was an offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks. Cuffee and the Razorbacks had established a solid relationship before the offer and he likes what he has seen.

"I think it's a very good program," Cuffee said. "They have a good coaching staff with coach Jennings and all of those other great guys there."
Coach Clay Jennings also has a nice tie to the Waco-area.
"I know a little bit about him," Cuffee said. "He's from Waco so a lot of people around here know each other. Coach Jennings went to La Vega and that's like 10 minutes away from where I live. Being from there everyone knows each other."
The Razorbacks were joined by the Vanderbilt Commodores who extended the second SEC offer of the day.
"I knew that one was coming because I've been talking to them for the past day and they were telling me they were going to offer me," Cuffee said.
The Commodores effort is spearheaded by coach Brett Maxie.
Thursday was a big day, and Cuffee also has high hopes for the weekend.
"Yeah I'll be going to Texas for sure," Cuffee said. "I'm pumped up about it. I think it's going to be a real good trip. I know I'm going to be talking to coach Strong and an offer may be coming in from Texas so I'd be real amped up about it."
In addition to Texas, it appears as if Arizona State and Alabama are getting close to extending a scholarship offer.
He plans to visit Alabama on April 10 and he also plans to attend spring practices at TCU and Tulsa. Trips to Michigan, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State are on the schedule and he would like to take official visits to Stanford and California in the fall.
