SEC school stands out to Lampkin

Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls 2015 defensive tackle Du'Vonte Lampkin continues to receive serious interest from college coaches across the country and considered among the top defensive prospects in Texas.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound defender has yet to pick up an offer but has left an impression. On Sunday, Lampkin left an impression as he was a standout at Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge presented by Under Armour in DeSoto, Texas.

"It feels good to be out here competing with the best players around the country," Lampkin said. "It makes me feel good about myself. It makes it seem like I've been working hard to even get out here with all these players."
He is done with camps for now, but is working on possibly taking a couple of trips in the near future.
"I'm going to go try and visit UCLA sometime soon and Oklahoma wants me to come up there and visit too," Lampkin said.
He also has a few college programs at the top of his list.
"(Texas) A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma," Lampkin said.
Of the three, Texas A&M currently sits at the top.
"Their facilities, their coaches, the way they interact with us and everything," Lampkin said. "It's just a good place to be around."
