Florida has started to get involved with 2016 quarterback K.J. Costello but it sounds like the Gators are going to move slowly with him at least in the beginning.
"(Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach) Kurt Roper just got there," Costello said. "He's only been there for a few months. He just started there so he said he's kind of new in the system so he's just trying to feel things out with where they're at.
"He said he's really interested and he's going to be heavily recruiting me. He said my name just jumped in the hat especially with him being new there so he wants to get to know me a little bit more before he makes an offer."

The Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic quarterback has already been offered by Cal, Florida State, Miami and Tennessee.
Costello, the quarterback MVP of the RCS Northern California, said Roper noticed that the Seminoles and Hurricanes already offered and doesn't want to miss out.
"He recognized that the Florida schools have been coming after me so he said he definitely wants to be in the mix," Costello said.
"He wants me to come out to the camp because he doesn't really know me and I don't really know him yet. Before he makes an offer, he wants to know me really well and know I care about them before he makes an offer."
The 2016 standout is considering other camp stops as well. Costello definitely plans to go to Michigan and heading to Alabama and Stanford again is also under serious consideration.
"I'm definitely planning to go to Michigan," Costello said. "I talked to coach (Doug) Nussmeier on the phone (Friday). I have to call them because I'm still a sophomore. I called him four or five times and he's been frustrated he missed the calls so we finally connected.
"We had a really good conversation. I told him I definitely want to go out for the camp and he was all fired up. They're still trying to lock in a 2015 quarterback. He said there's no doubt they want me to be their guy for 2016 but he wants to make sure they lock in a 2015 before a 2016.
"Michigan for some reason just kind of stands out even though I've never been there."
