SEC offer for Georgia safety

A Southeastern Conference program is the first to step forward with a scholarship offer for Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry safety Brynden Trawick.
"(Ole Miss assistant coach) Ryan Nielsen sent me a text message during school today and told me to call him that he had good news for me," Trawick said. "I was in class. I called him back when I got out and he told me I had a full ride from the University of Mississippi."

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is a tremendous athlete, being timed at 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE Combine earlier this year. He has been getting attention from Florida, Auburn and South Carolina in addition to the Rebels.
"I was happy," he said. "I was just very, very excited about it."
Trawick added that Ole Miss offered him as a safety.
"It puts them on top right now," he said. "They are the only ones to offer so far, but they are on top."
Trawick has never been to Oxford, but plans to make the trip over from the Atlanta area soon.
"I am going down to Ole Miss for their spring game on April 7," Trawick said.
Trawick added that he recently has received interest from Connecticut and that Florida and Auburn continue to be in touch.
