SEC looks for Lucier-South

Keisean Lucier-South has had a busy spring especially for a 2015 prospect and things picked up even more recently as the Orange (Calif.) Lutheran prospect has landed more SEC interest.
"Right now in my recruiting process Florida and South Carolina have been contacting me and they're really interested in me," Lucier-South said. "They aren't going to offer me really quickly. They're just going to start talking to me through the recruiting process."

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound recruit was one of the best prospects at the UCLA camp last week as he showed his versatility moving to outside linebacker and performing well during the workout.
If he continues to add weight, there is a chance Lucier-South could shine at weak-side defensive end or he could be used as an outside linebacker where his size, speed and length would be assets.
The message from both Florida and South Carolina is that those coaches want to see him add weight and then later on they would consider offers.
"They really said they like my length and all that and they love my speed but they want to see me get bigger and add more weight," Lucier-South said. "That was basically the message."
So far, the 2015 prospect has landed offers from Arizona, Boise State, Colorado, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA and Washington.
The Orange Lutheran standout said it's way too early to name frontrunners but he definitely had a good time at UCLA's camp, especially liked working with the coaches and the Bruins should remain under consideration as things move forward.
"I was really surprised," Lucier-South said. "UCLA is a top school and all the best competition was here. I really like it now."
