SEC interest for South Florida LB

While he is still waiting for his first scholarship offer, interest has picked up for Hollywood (Fla.) South Broward linebacker Patrick Joseph as one Southeastern Conference program has started communicating with the South Florida prospect by way of text message.
"Alabama has been text messaging me," Joseph said. "(Crimson Tide assistant and South Florida area recruiter) Lance Thompson has sent me text messages. He's said that they are interested in me and that they want to get my film would I want to take a visit up there.

"Right now, I'm highly interested in them."
The 6-foot, 235-pounder talked about Alabama's program.
"I know that (Tide head coach) Nick Saban left the Dolphins from down here to go up there and that they produce a lot of linebackers like DeMeco Ryans that plays for the Texans."
Another SEC program has been sending plenty of mail.
"I'm still getting letters from South Carolina," he said. "I get a letter from them every day. I don't really know too much on South Carolina. I know that Steve Spurrier coaches them now. I know they got a couple of players from my area last year (Akeem Auguste from Chaminade-Madonna and Donte'e Nicholls from Pompano Beach Ely)."
Joseph's next move will be to make an unofficial visit to a local Sun Belt program.
"I got invited to the FIU spring game next Friday and going to check them out," he said. "It's in two more weeks. It's on a Friday I will be attending it with my mother and older brother."
Joseph had 85 tackles and five sacks during his junior season.
