SEC calls for Williams duo

Brothers Rodarius Williams and Andraez Williams have shown themselves to be a formidable cornerback duo at Shreveport (La.) Calvary Academy, with college attention arriving for both 2016 standouts.
Coming into the week Andraez "Greedy" Williams already held offers from Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, and Wake Forest, while Rodarius "Leelee" Williams was receiving interest from the same schools as well as Baylor, Kansas State, and Utah.

On Monday, Mississippi State defensive backs coach Deshea Townsend let them both know the Bulldogs were extending scholarship offers.
"Oh yes sir, it was very special," Andraez Williams said. "My mom was very happy. She said it was an exciting day for her."
Exciting may be putting it mildly for the boys' mother Lakesha Williams, in fact "wonderful" was the word she used to describe hearing the news. However, she was not caught off guard.
"Actually we went down there and had a nice time and they had a great atmosphere. We were talking to the defensive back coach and he said 'We're going to offer them and I'm a man of my word.' I was like 'Are you for real?' So he definitely did that," Ms. Williams said. "He offered both of them. He said he watched the tape on both of them and he likes both of them. It was great."
As for the borthers' thoughts, both like what they see in the Bulldog program.
"They have a really good program and I love everything about them right now," Rodarius Williams said. "I hope that can be where I can go in the future."
"It was great," Andraez Williams said. "Coach Townsend just called my coach and offered me, and it was just an unbelievable moment. My coach told and I was like 'For real?' I called coach Townsend he and said 'Yeah, I called your coach and made an official offer.' I was like Wow. That was amazing. I was kind of excited."
The Williams family was in Starkville on Saturday as the Bulldogs beat Texas A&M, and both also liked what they saw on their visit.
"What really caught my attention is the fans. They never sat down. They always stood up," Rodarius Williams said. "The DB coach, coach Townsend, he seemed like a really good coach. I like the way he coaches DBs."
"It was amazing. The atmosphere was so amazing," Andraez Williams said. "It was probably the best college game I've ever been to. They have nice facilities. Everything was nice - the coaches, players - everybody was nice."
The brothers stopped short of naming any favorites at this time in the recruiting process, Andraez Williams mentioned he also wanted to take an unofficial visit to Texas A&M at some point this fall. However, the Williams family cannot wait to make it back to Starkville, with a trip planned for Mississippi State's match-up with Auburn on Saturday.
