SEC attention for Everett

There has been an increase of attention from Southeastern Conference programs for Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter lineman Marty Everett. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder has been hearing regularly from two SEC programs and is getting ready to camp at each of those schools.
"Recruiting is going good," he said. "I'm getting in shape and getting set for these camps. Right now, I am definitely going to Alabama's camp (July 22-26), USF camp and to the Florida Gators Friday Night Lights Camp (July 20)."

The Crimson Tide has given Everett a verbal offer and he hears regularly from Alabama assistant coach Ron Middleton.
"He's been saying that I'm doing real good," Everett said. "He says to just get my grades up and that I will definitely make it. He says I've got the size and the speed."
Alabama has Everett's attention.
"They are a pretty good team," he said. "The SEC is definitely big-time. Coach Middleton is a nice guy."
Three programs are recruiting Everett the hardest.
"West Virginia, Alabama and Florida are recruiting me the hardest," he said. "Florida is definitely thinking about me right now. I think that I have what they are looking for. I used to be a West Virginia fan when I was growing up."
In addition to the Gators, Tide, Bulls and Mountaineers, Everett has offers from Central Florida and Virginia Tech.
Everett isn't in a rush to make a decision.
"I'm going to make a decision after the season," he said. "I'm going to wait and take it slow."
Everett is rated as the nation's No. 26 defensive tackle prospect and the No. 51 overall prospect in the state of Florida according to Rivals.com.
