SEC attention for Cooley

Laurel (Miss.) 2016 standout Octavious Cooley has already made a name for himself as a big receiving threat, and he hopes to show he has more to his game.
As a sophomore in 2013 he recorded over 1,000 yards and averaged almost 20 yards a catch on his way to top offensive player honors in region 3-5A. Colleges have already jumped in to let him know he is a wanted prospect.

"It's at a stand right now, but I have a feeling in the future my options are going to come but it's at a stand," Cooley said. "I have offers from Ole Miss, Southern (Miss), (Mississippi) State, and Georgia."
He has picked up a few offers, but he certainly remembers the first.
"The first offer was Southern (Miss)," Cooley said. "It felt good. It's close to home. It's 30 minutes away."
He also has a few schools at the top of his list.
"es sir, Florida State and my coach tells me Auburn was looking and I caught their eye," Cooley said.
This summer he plans to camp at Florida State, and when it comes to a future college destination, he is looking for a program known for throwing the ball.
Cooley also has a feeling a position change is in the future. He is already 6-foot-2 and 230-pounds and Cooley knows he is likely headed for a move inside as dothe colleges.
"Tight end mostly. I'm waiting on tight end. It's eventually going to happen so…I'm not worried about it," Cooley said. "I got a feeling I could be a good blocker for a team."
