Skinny: One of the Peach State’s hottest prospects at the moment is Kennesaw Mountain’s Jeremy Ciulla.
“I’ve got about five or six offers now,” said the 6-foot-6, 275-pound tackle. “Auburn is the most recent team. They let me know this week. I’ve also got offers from Florida State, Maryland, LSU, Virginia and Georgia Tech.”
Ciulla is also receiving heavy interest from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, Clemson and Duke.
“Georgia is probably No. 1 for me,” he said. “I’ve been a big fan my whole life, but I haven’t heard as much from them as I expected. I’m not sure if I’m in their plans or not. They signed a bunch of O-Linemen last year, so they may not be looking for very many now.
“Auburn is a close second. I’ve always kept up with their program, too, and I’ve been there for a visit. I liked the campus and the people a lot. I was really glad that they offered me a scholarship.”
Ciulla, who is noted for his great frame and footwork on the field, is also a strong student. He sports a 3.5 GPA and has scored an 1,100 on his SAT.
“Stanford has told me they’ll offer if I can get my SAT up to about 1,200,” he said.
The Cardinal, along with Miami and LSU, round out his current top five.
Ciulla plans to camp at Georgia, Auburn and “maybe Tennessee” this summer. “Tennessee has been showing me a lot of interest lately. I got to talk to a couple of their coaches, coach (Phil) Fulmer personally. He said he really wants to get me up there for their camp.”
