Statistics: Bishop had 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, seven quarterback pressures and one forced fumble as a junior.
Favorite schools: South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida.
Skinny: Bishop, in his first full season a starter, helped Union to their third championship in four years. Bishop is ready for another championship, but needs to improve in a few areas to make that happen.
“I need to work harder in the weight room and get my grades up." He said.
Bishop currently has a 300-pound bench press, 395-pound squat, and a 265-pound power clean.
Bishop loves to hit opposing players and pass rushing from his tackle spot. College scouts are beginning to take notice of his size and quickness. Bishop has no offers at this time, but hopes one comes soon from one of his favorites.
“My top five are, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, and Clemson.”
Bishop spoke about the in-state schools.
“South Carolina has sent me a lot of letters and Clemson has sent a couple," he said. "Clemson seems to have good coaches, with my size they think I could play a lot.”
So what will Bishop look for when it becomes decision time?
“It will be where I feel comfortable.”
Bishop plans to attend summer football camps at North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
