Season off to hot start for Perry

LA MARQUE, Texas - Wide receiver Jared Perry started out as a relatively unknown prospect, but has since risen to new heights with a very high quality stack of offers that give him plenty of college options to choose from.
Perry claims his offer list as including Missouri, Colorado State, Houston, Kansas, Ole Miss, Tulane, and Oklahoma State now as his senior season has gotten underway. In his first game against Bay City (Texas) High School, he went up against one of the top athletes in the area with Cordero Williams.

Things went pretty well considering the competition.
"I did real well because you have to know he's one of the top DB's in the state," Perry said. "He was giving me a lot of talk about he was going to lock me down, but I had to prove a point out there."
Now his recruiting is still shifting and growing bigger by the day. It seems he has a top three of teams he's looking into.
"Oklahoma State, Missouri, and UCLA are my top teams," Perry said. "They've all offered except UCLA, but I'm expecting one from them. Missouri has a good quarterback going in with Chase Daniel, OSU passes real well, and UCLA is just a great school."
"I'll make my visits and then have my decision made once the season finishes up."
Aside from recruiting, the very hard working Perry has another big season of goals that he wants to accomplish.
"I want to hopefully get 10 or 11 touchdowns and make this a state title year," he said.
Coach Bryan Irwin doesn't think that will be too hard with his great play versus Bay City.
"I'm really proud of how he's handled recruiting and his season," Irwin said. "He had three catches for 119 yards, so he's already off to a great start. He'll continue on and not only do well on the field, but make a great college decision when that time comes."
Perry is a three-star rated player who was a first-team all-district selection as a junior.
