Sean Dollars: Oregon's facilities are like CIA building

LOS ANGELES – Sean Dollars didn’t realize Oregon’s campus was a couple hours from the Portland airport.

But once the 2019 four-star running back from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., arrived in Eugene for a recent unofficial visit, Dollars had an excellent time and the Ducks have quickly moved to the top of his list.

“Oregon was good,” Dollars said at the adidas Unleashed event at Los Angeles Cathedral. “Right when I got there I didn’t realize the school was two hours away from the airport, that was a long little ride but it was a nice view.

“The (facility) was like the CIA building. It was nice and really well-built. The campus was nice, the life there was nice, everybody was chill, everybody was cool and they take care of business.”

Another thing that stood out to Dollars, who was exceptional catching the ball out of the backfield and using his speed to make defenders miss during the Unleashed event, was Oregon’s new coaches.

“I love the coaching staff,” Dollars said. “Once I got up there they all knew my name so that surprised me. That gave them a little boost. It was good. My running scheme fits out there perfectly.”

Washington, Utah, UCLA and Arizona State have been heavily pursuing Dollars this offseason and on Wednesday he starts an unofficial visit with the Huskies.

The 2019 four-star said he’s using this Washington trip – and all others – as a comparison to Oregon since it went so well. The Ducks are the early frontrunner.

“I just want to see the view,” Dollars said of Washington. “Everybody said it’s nice. The field is right next to the water so that’s cool. I want to meet the coaching staff and see what it’s like compared to Oregon.”
