Junior to Watch: Ryan Brown
School: Moncks Corner (S.C.) Berkeley

Position: Linebacker
Size and Speed: Brown stands 6-foot-2, weighs 235 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He bench presses 345 pounds and has a 34-inch vertical jump.
Statistics: Brown had 74 tackles in just six games. He missed more than half the season with an ankle injury.
Honors: n/a
Favorite Schools: South Carolina, Florida State, North Carolina, Clemson, Florida, Georgia.
Skinny: Brown is considered by most to be the best linebacker in South Carolina this year. However, ankle problems have caused him to miss more than 15 games over the last two seasons.
“I feel good and I’m looking forward to a healthy senior year,” he said. “I think I need to prove that I can stay healthy and show what I can do over a full season.”
The injuries haven’t stopped schools from offering Brown. He already has offers from South Carolina, North Carolina and Clemson.
“I want to take my time with recruiting,” he said. “I really like South Carolina and (ex-teammate) Jabari (Levey) has been pushing for me to go there with him. I always grew up watching Florida State, but staying close to home would be cool too. I’ll probably take all my visits and then decide.”
