Scroggins red hot on the recruiting trail

There may not be a hotter quarterback on the west coast if not the country than Jesse Scroggins (6-3, 195, 4.8) from Lakewood, Calif. The recently minted NIKE Camp quarterback MVP has nine offers on his plate, but there could be more before the spring evaluation period ends, as his star is definitely ascending.
Scroggins has offers on the table from Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Nebraska, LSU, Tennessee, SMU and San Diego State. He is also being recruited by Cal, Oregon State, UCLA, USC and Utah.
Besides his NIKE success, Scroggins will be working on improving his skills by camping with UCLA and USC in June.
Scroggins has all the abilities that are needed for a quarterback to succeed on the next level. He can make all the throws and has the ability to throw with touch. He has tremendous leadership qualities, he intelligent and has a high football IQ.
What is Scroggins looking for in a college?
"I'm looking for a fair shot in a pro style offense," Scroggins said. "I want to play on a team that has the will to win, hates to lose and a school with great academic prestige."
"I don't know when I will decide on a school," Scroggins said. "It will be when I fall in love with a school."
"Location won't be a big deal," Scroggins said. "I have spent time away from home, so I have no preference. I plan on taking official visits, but I'm not sure if I'll take all five."
Scroggins hopes to be able to attend both local spring games this Saturday. USC at the Coliseum at 1:00 PM and UCLA at the Rose Bowl at 7:00 PM PST.
As a junior, Scroggins earned first-team all-CIF and was his leagues Offensive MVP after throwing for 2,500 yards and 24 touchdowns.
