Scranton makes LOI day interesting

Who said this was a signing day without surprises? Buford, Ga., defensive end Aaron Scranton made sure of that.
Scranton, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensive was committed to Arkansas and planned on signing with them today. But...
"He had the signing this morning at the morning and signed the letter-of-intent for Arkansas," Bruce Scranton said. "But he never faxed it. He really loved Arkansas, but he's always had his heart set on UGA."
Then he got the call mid-afternoon from the Georgia coaches.
"They had been trying to find a way to offer him for about two weeks, and they finally found a spot for him," his father said. "When the offer came, he decided to sign.
"He called coach Markuson and had to tell him. It was very hard for us to tell Markuson, but in the end Aaron had to go with his heart was originally."
