Scott working toward D-I offers

One of the top linebackers in the state of Texas is Alto standout Tad Scott. But for some reason heading into the latter months of the summer, Scott, who is 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, hadn’t picked up any scholarship offers.
Has that changed?

“No, not really,” Scott said. “I’m sort of just coasting right now. Stephen F. Austin told my coaches that they had offered me, but I wasn’t there when it happened. I’ve been told, though, that most people are going to recruit me on my senior film.”
And that’s why Scott has worked hard to make a great early impression.
“I’ve worked hard,” he said. “I’ve been able to flow to the ball a little better, and on offense, I’m catching the ball better. I just worked really hard on my footwork and a lot of my speed. I’m a lot quicker than I was before.”
Scott said he would still love to get more attention from Texas A&M and he’s hoping to find out where he stands with the Aggies when he visits for a few games this year. But there is still plenty of other teams still showing him heavy interest through the mail.
“(Texas) Tech is sending a lot,” he said. “TCU sends a lot and Rice is sending me a lot, too. I guess I’m just going to have to go out there and show everybody that I deserve to be playing on the next level.”
We agree with him on that, which is why he’s ranked as a 5.2 on the Rivals Rating scale.
