Scott names five

Jonesboro (La.) Hodge running back Charles Scott will be one prospect to keep a close eye on over the next few months. If there is one four-star that is outside of the top 50 and could work himself into a five-star, than it's Scott. Nonetheless, he is happy with his ranking.
"I saw the rankings on Rivals when they came out," Scott said. "It made me real proud of myself to get into the top 100. I do know that I still have a lot of room to get better and I know that I can get my ranking up some, but I'm still really happy."

The 6-foot-0, 220-pound Scott runs the 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds, a 28-inch vertical jump and did 18 reps on the bench press.
"I have gotten my list narrowed down to a top five now," Scott said. "LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Alabama and Auburn are my top five schools. Right now I would say that LSU and USC are my top two."
Over the next few weeks, however, two schools will have a chance to make an impression on Scott and work themselves into the lead.
"I am on my way to Oklahoma right now for their camp," Scott said. "This is my first time out there so I am looking forward to checking everything out and getting to know the coaches. I am also going to camp at Alabama in a couple of weeks to do the same thing."
Scott also plans to camp at LSU this summer. He finished his junior season with 1672 yards on 219 carries and 18 touchdowns. He added two touchdowns receiving, two kickoff returns for touchdowns and was a bruising ball carrier on 16 successful two-point conversions.
"I really don't plan to make an early decision right now," Scott said. "I am focused on taking my visits in the fall and then I will go from there. I am glad to have it narrowed down to five and concentrate on those."
