Scott is top target

Dallas skyline athlete Christian Scott is becoming a very hot prospect as of late.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder apparently is having quite the spring. Scott is not just doing well on the field, but off the field as well. Several new scholarship offers are coming in and some big ones could be on the way. Skyline coach Derick Roberson says that Texas and Notre Dame could be two that may get involved.

"Florida and Arkansas both offered Christian this week," Roberson said. "Texas looks like they're going to. Coach Bruce Chambers and coach Duane Akina were down here and they loved him on film. They didn't want to tell him about any offers or all that until he got to camp to meet coach Mack Brown.
"Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis was supposed to be coming but he got hung up at the airport in Louisiana. But, if he's coming himself, I'd say that it's a pretty good chance that he may get an offer from them too."
Roberson says that Scott is not really leaning one way at this point. Though he's had favorites in the past, he's looking at all of his options before he makes any sort of a decision.
"Of course he likes Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, and now with the offer, Florida," Roberson said. "But, he's wide open and he's not ruling anybody out."
As for how serious the Longhorn coaches seem about Scott, Roberson was pretty convinced that something could be heating up there.
"They called me earlier in the week to let me know when they were coming and I thought they wouldn't come for another week," Roberson said. "They knew about all the offers and about 15 minutes later they were here."
