Scooters Visit Sidetracked

East Cleveland (Ohio) Shaw fullback Scooter McDougle was supposed to go to Iowa this past weekend for an official visit. However, something stopped him from getting there.
"We didn't make it for our visit," said the 6-foot-0, 230-pounder who was set to visit the Hawkeyes with teammate Reggie Smith, a standout linebacker. "We got in a car accident and we'll have to set it up again. Everyone's fine, but we just didn't make it."

McDougle lists the Hawkeyes as his clear favorite, but a few others could sneak in if they offered.
"Reggie and I have talked about going to the same school together and we're setting some trips together," he said. "I like Iowa the best and I think he likes Virginia. UVA hasn't offered me yet. Boston College was a possibility for a visit this weekend, but I'm still not sure. I was kind of hoping to make it to Iowa and maybe decide."
McDougle said he's probably taking his official to Iowa now on Dec. 6 which was the same date he had set for Virginia.
"I'm not sure what's up now," he said. "Reggie and I still want to see Iowa together if we can so I'll know more this week or next. I know he's heading to BC this weekend and I might go as well, but I don't have an offer from them. I'm going to set up officials with Cincinnati, Purdue and maybe Toledo this week. Unless UVA offers me, I don't have them high on my list."
McDougle has an offer from Cincinnati and Toledo as well as from West Virginia.
