Scoggins not rushing towards a decision

Euless (Texas) Trinity tight end Jordan Scoggins recently picked up his second offer after his first came from Houston some time ago.
Nonetheless, the 6-foot-2, 257-pound says that he's keeping an open mind to other schools that may enter the process. A second in-state school could be offering Scoggins soon.

"Well Tulane just offered me and I've been talking with UTEP a lot," Scoggins said. "I stopped by their camp a while ago and talked with the coaches. They said that when they get back from vacation, something may develop with an offer."
Scoggins doesn't have any other big visit plans coming up. Academics has been a big priority and time constraint.
"I just got done with taking summer school classes," he said. "That's kept me tied down from visiting any other schools. I've got a lot of time. My family and I want to wait a while before we decide on a school."
Scoggins says that Kansas State is one school that has been coming on hard, despite not offering yet. His contact with Houston, the first school to offer, has been limited as well.
"We still get letters from them, but my parents usually take those to read them," he said. "I haven't seen a ton of those yet."
Scoggins was named sophomore of the year for District 6-5A and was second team all-state as a junior.
