Schultz visits Iowa State

Beaver Dam, Wis., defensive end Eric Schultz attended the Iowa State-Northern Illinois game over the weekend, just as he said he would do last week. Schultz also said last week that he did not see himself making a commitment this early to the Cyclones as he was looking at several other schools in addition to Iowa State.
"I made it to Iowa State," Schultz said. "It was an unofficial visit. They beat Northern Illinois. It was 48-41 I believe. So ther was a lot of action. I liked it. I liked the family atmosphere. I was impressed."

"We talked some more about their (scholarship) offer. I didn't commit. But we talked about an official visit. It will probably be one of the first two weekends in December."
"I'm still looking at Wisconsin. I'll get to most of their home games."
"I'm looking at Iowa State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Indiana, that's basically about it."
"I guess I can put Iowa in the top two, and probably Wisconsin."
"I haven't been to Indiana and Northwestern, but I was real happy with Iowa State."
The 6-foot-5 and 225 pound Schultz made 41 tackles including 15 behind the line during his junior season. Schultz was an all-conference selection and also played tight end. He caught just six passes, but was a standout blocker in a run dominated offense.
During the first four games of his senior season Schultz has three sacks, six tackles for losses, and three receptions.
