Schools will take notice of Kansas OL

Ottawa, Kan., offensive lineman Caleb Blakesley is one of the most impressive looking prospects in Kansas this year and the attention will increase as the fall season gets closer.
“Caleb is going to be a very good player this fall,” Ottawa coach Pat Boeh said. “He’s been a good one for us and this year the colleges will take notice of him. He’s the perfect size for an offensive tackle. He’s 6-foot-5 right now. He weighs 265 pounds and he’s got room to put more on the frame.”

Blakesley earned all-league honors as a sophomore and earned all-state honors during his junior season.
“He has continually improved as he’s played more,” Boeh said. “The attention will grow from schools as we get more film out on him and schools begin to evaluate for this next year.”
Blakesley has already gotten the attention of the Kansas coaches.
“He has camped at KU last year,” the coach said. “They are fully aware of him. More schools in this area will be soon, like Kansas State, Missouri and Nebraska. I’m sure they will hear about him soon.”
As for his talented tackle, Boeh thinkes he’s the perfect fit for a collegiate lineman.
“He’s a dynamite player. He’s got the frame you want. He’s very athletic. He plays basketball too. He throws the shot put 54-feet and that will get better this year. Some school is going to get one heck of a football player next year.”
