Schools staying in touch with 2017 R100 DB Jones
Rivals100 defensive back Deon Jones has plenty of suitors but he has been taking his time before naming a short list. Georgia was the last offer for the Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll junior but he is only talking to a handful of schools and has one visit planned for this weekend.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Jones will be at Clemson this weekend and is starting to think about narrowing his list down to five. Look for him to name some top schools in January or February.
IN HIS WORDS: "I call a couple coaches but right now it's kind of chilled out because they're pressing up on the seniors," Jones said. "I've been in contact with Ohio State, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Florida. They are just the ones that I talk to the most. I'm planning on dropping my top five in January or February.
"I'm going to Clemson this weekend," he said. "I'm expecting to see the field and a good team. I know it's going to be a lot of fun."
RIVALS' REACTION: Florida and Clemson are the two teams to beat here but it is very early and there is lots of time for other teams to get into the race. Crazy things can happen when the coaching carousel gets going.
