Schools start to take notice of Virginia LB

Schools are starting to take notice of Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale linebacker Malcolm Piggott. The 6-foot-1, 218-pounder is receiving interest from at least a couple Big East programs so far.
"Early on in the recruiting process he's getting stuff from West Virginia and Pittsburgh," Thomas Dale head coach Vic Williams said. "We're in the process of getting his film and transcript out there still.

"I don't think he has any sort of favorites. He's open to everybody."
Over the past two years Piggott has posted over 100 tackles a season.
"He was our leading tackler as a sophomore with 112 tackles and then he had 125 last season," he stated. "I expect him to be the captain and leader of our defense next year. I hope he'll get an I-A offer, but he definitely has a better chance at the I-AA level.
"He's a very quick and intense linebacker that'll hit you. I can see him bulking up to 240-pounds and he reads plays very well. Off the field, he's a fine young man that I'd recommend to someone."
